Capt. Jennifer Harris, may god receive you and present you with your eternal wings. Thank you for your service. I hope that I can meet you one day.

We have your back Jen and all the other members of the crew. Dance with the angels our Fox friend.
Jen,
We went to flight school together and you were winged a week before I was. I only spent a limited time around you, but remember what a vibrant and intelligent person you were. I was shocked and saddened to hear of your death when I returned from my most recent deployment and read “Shipmate” Magazine. It’s always scary to read the “Last Call” section, mostly filled with older grads. You always hear throughout flight school that you’ll eventually lose someone you knew in aviation before your career is over…and you were unfortunately the first. I’m proud to have known you and been in your presence. I could tell you were an honest, hard-working, and sincere person from the few times I talked with you. I pray for you, your friends and family, and those who perished with you that day. God Bless you.

Jen,
Now that I have had to reflect and think about what has happened, everything seems to have happened so fast. I remember the days we were studying in Pensacola, trying to figure out how the T-34 worked and what was that acronym again? Or…trying to remember all that weather “stuff.” I remember running into each other at Yuma during WTI, and just catching up. I remember the last time we talked, I was flying out to Miramar and we planned to get together, but our schedules didn’t work out. I have such good memories of you, but what I remember the most about you was that you were always so positive and vibrant! It was always uplifting to talk to you and I have the best memories of you. I want you to know that I will never forget you. You were a model Marine Officer and one of my best friends. Until we meet again. I pray for you and your family, may God welcome you and keep you. Peace my friend.
Semper Fidelis,
Capt Josh Vance
Jennifer,
We were in the same squad in TBS in Quantico.
Thanks for taking that patrol for me when I was hurt. You could see that I was going to have a hard time making it through. You were just as worn out as the rest of us, but no one else stood up and offered. You took my SAW and gave me your M-16 and said I’ll go for you. Thank you.
Rest in Peace Captain Harris.
