Dems fire back at Bush’s ‘appeasement’ accusation
Democrats on Thursday condemned President Bush’s accusing them of appeasing terrorists, with one [Biden] going so far as to call his remarks “bullsh**t.”
The president, at Israel’s 60th anniversary celebration in Jerusalem, suggested some Democrats were acting in the same way some Western leaders did when they appeased Hitler in the run-up to World War II.

White House Postponing Loss of Iraq, Biden Says
Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said yesterday that he believes top officials in the Bush administration have privately concluded they have lost Iraq and are simply trying to postpone disaster so the next president will “be the guy landing helicopters inside the Green Zone, taking people off the roof,” in a chaotic withdrawal reminiscent of Vietnam.
