  1. Agreed. What an idiot. What a dissapointment (to say the least).

  2. It takes 67 votes in the Senate to get a conviction for Impeachment. That is never going to happen. An impeachment of Bush would be a waste of time and money. The Congress needs to focus it’s energy against goals that are attainable, not on a feel good exercise for the left.

  3. Bringing to light all the misdeeds of Cheney and Bush through impeachment hearings, besides being THE RIGHT THING TO DO, is not a waste of time and money. The Congress needs to do what the constitution orders it to do, hold the other branches accountable. This isn’t about politics or about a feel-good exercise for the left (unlike the waste of time and energy that Clinton’s impeachment millions were for the right), it’s about the rule of law.

  4. All the misdeeds of the Bush administration can still be investigated by the Senate and House. Impeachment hearings are not needed to do that. In fact will be far easier to do these investigations because Impeachment would be seen as overtly political and thus a rallying point for the GOP.
The problem with the Clinton Impeachment is that the GOP made Impeachment the goal and thus failed to properly investigate. The same is true here. A full and proper investigation should be the goal, not what IS a feel good exercise that has no chance of succeeding.

  5. Pelosi has been threatened, bribed, or probably both. She is a coward and should be replaced at once. She smugly refers to ‘the will of the American people’ when it suits her, but ignores the same ‘will’ when it doesn’t. The same polls that she quotes to shame the Bush whitehouse show that the American people have even less use for (her) congress than they do for Bush. She and Reid are the best thing that has happened to the republican party since Reagan. I wish Lyndon Johnson were still alive to give Pelosi a good spanking.
