The conservative case for Barack Obama

Barack Obama is no conservative. Yet if he wins the Democratic nomination, come November principled conservatives may well find themselves voting for the senator from Illinois. Given the alternatives—and the state of the conservative movement—they could do worse.

  1. My, how desperate they have become. Only by electing a moderately progressive Democrat can the conservatives kill the Reagan menace that they unleashed 30 years ago and for which the Bush crime family crawled out of the swamp.

    The real conservatives fully admit that McCain would make matters worse for the country. Good for them.
